Bluebeard
“Blue Beard“ was the most creepiest fairytale storybook I read as a kid! It was about (if I can remember, without looking it up), a lady called Tulips met this strange mysterious man. He wasn’t exactly handsome but he was wealthy and strong. He asked her parents permission to marry her and that was granted. After they wed, Tulips moved into his spooky massive castle. He allowed her to explore the castle sometimes. There were many places she couldn’t go as it was hidden by locked doors. So one day he gave her a big set of keys.
“You may open every door in the castle and look around,” he told her. “All except one door at the top of the most highest tower stairs. It’s arched and made of dyed red wood with iron studs. There is a hematite above the door. Please never go in there. It’s forbidden for anyone to go in.”
After Bluebeard left, Tulips explored the entire castle. It took almost a whole couple of days. The following evening she decided to go up to the place that was forbidden. She found the door, and opened it. Inside the secret room was a frightening scene of frozen iced statues of women.
There is also blood stains on the floor and walls. Tulips ran from the tower room of frozen women. Later when Bluebeard returned home, she told him what she found in that room. He was so angry with her that he tried to kill her. Tulips escapes onto the battlements and screams for help. Her saviours arrived swiftly and they were her brothers. They killed Bluebeard with both swords. Tulips inherited the castle.
