This post is a cry for help and even an understanding. Why? That is what I want to know. Wolves have been hunted for aons by people. Wolves are hunted for many reasons, for the pelts to keep someone warm, for ritualism, teeth and to get rid of this fear. Also wolves are still looked upon with suspicion and this is probably because they are considered a rival. This is a primitive reason that people kill wolves, unless it's to protect themselves from danger. I know that farmers have a problem with wolves attacking their livestock.
In Sweden, wolves are in trouble.
The researchers predict that without the last decade of poaching, wolves would have numbered around a thousand by 2009, four times the number reported that year.
These large carnivores went extinct in Sweden in the 1970s, and the population has since re-established itself after a handful of migratory Finnish wolves took over the empty territories. For details of the full article, go here.
